Prime Minister Tarique Rahman stated that the current government is determined to develop merit-based, self-confident, creative, and responsible human resources.

The Prime Minister made these remarks on Saturday (April 25) morning at a ceremony following the foundation stone laying of the third building of the BIAM Foundation in the capital's New Eskaton.

The Prime Minister said, "There is no alternative to building a merit-based, efficient, and people-friendly public administration across all state institutions to build the Bangladesh we envision."

Praising the role of the BIAM Foundation, he noted that its journey from inception to the present day proves that the BNP government has always sought a highly skilled and trained public administration in the interest of the country and its people.

Tarique Rahman added that the bureaucracy must become more people-oriented to build a modern and prosperous state. He placed special emphasis on training to help officials develop themselves as servants of the people.

Following the foundation stone laying, he inspected the activities of the BIAM Foundation and exchanged views with officials. Senior government officials, members of the cabinet, and distinguished dignitaries were present at the event.
