The scary happenings at Chandpur flat

Horrible Demons, Jinns, spirit possession, haunted houses... nowadays are considered nothing but mere spooky stories. But when the Deputy General Manager of the district Palli Bidyut Samity-2, Monirul Islam, complained that he has been experiencing warning signs and symptoms of the presence of supernatural being at his flat, locals stepped in to investigate. And what they found was quite surprising.

The Palli Bidyut DGM stated to the local journos, he along with his family members was living on the fourth floor of a multistoried building in the district town’s Mission Road area since last a few months. Everything was normal but he “realized the existence or presence of some kinds of supernatural beings or Jinns” at his flat five days ago.

Talking to the reporters, Monirul said: “The symptoms of the presence of some kind of mysterious thing at my flat were first observed on August 15 when my family members went to visit our village home. I was along and suddenly felt the presence of some eerie figures. I could see their shadows on the walls and someone started throwing the crockeries and moving the chairs. I also found some mysterious signs drafted on the walls.

Afraid Monirul said, “At one stage, I fled my flat and called my neighbours for help. When they entered in, they also complained of the same thing. Later, I left the flat and shifted to another one on Friday but same things started happing there as well. I later called a local religious leader and took doas in order to drive the Jinns away. But, the situation remains unchanged.”

When contacted, the caretaker of the building, Abu Taher, said: “At first we did not believe what Monirul Islam said as we never experienced such incidents during our stay here in last eight years. But, we saw those unbelievable symptoms when we visited the flat.”

Monirul’s neighbour Humayun Kabir said: “Panic is prevailing among residents of the building and many tenants are thinking of leaving their flats.”

Monirul Islam also decided to quit the building, he told on Sunday afternoon.
