Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, “China will also cooperate in solving Bangladesh’s various problems. They have even given a positive signal regarding the solution to the Rohingya crisis and said they will take initiatives on these two issues.”

He made the remarks while speaking in the National Parliament on Saturday (June 27).

He said Bangladesh’s relations with China and Malaysia have become stronger. The two countries have assured that they will continue their cooperation for Bangladesh’s economic development and further expand it.

In Parliament, he also presented a motion of thanks on the occasion of Prime Minister Tarek Rahman’s visits to China and Malaysia.

Earlier, the second session of the 13th National Parliament and the budget session for the 2026–27 fiscal year resumed. The session was chaired by Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed Bir Bikram.
